SACO, Maine – Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution (SBSI) recently donated $1,500 to Grahamtastic Connection, an organization dedicated to providing technology for hospitalized children in Southern Maine.
Through SBS’s donation, Grahamtastic Connection will be able to provide children with free technology like laptops, tablets, robotics and internet connection so that they can continue their education despite their medical condition or financial limitation.
“Grahamtastic is an amazing organization, providing educational access to home- or hospital- bound students so they don’t miss a beat in learning and engaging with their teachers and peers,” said Marc R. Gagnon, EVP of Saco & Biddeford Savings. “This is a very creative use of robots, internet and the latest in technology to keep family’s connected. We are honored to help support the efforts of Grahamtastic and to showcase its mission.”
At a time when they feel most disconnected, children stay connected to their world through Grahamtastic’s help. With access to technology, children can collaborate with their teachers, family, friends and medical teams.
“We really appreciate the support of Saco and Biddeford Savings,” said Leslie Morissette, Grahamtastic Connection’s founder and executive director. “Their generous donation will allow us to continue to support the many requests we receive from seriously ill children in Southern Maine.”
This donation is part of SBSI’s goal to raise efforts in community involvement. Grahamtasic Connection has been providing technology equipment to over 1300 children throughout Southern Maine since 1998. For more information on Grahamtastic Connection, visit www.grahamtastic.org.
