SACO, Maine – Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution (SBSI) announced Rene Menard and Joshua (JD) Hadiaris as new Corporators at their annual meeting.
“We are pleased to welcome Rene and J.D. to our team of Corporators,” said Bob Quentin, president of SBSI. “We value their input as we remain focused on our mission to meet the financial needs of our customers and the communities which we serve.”
J.D. Hadiaris is a Partner at Norman, Hanson & DeTroy, in Portland, Maine. He received his J.D. from New England School of Law in Boston, and he has practiced in Maine since 2007. He has recently been recognized by Superlawyers and Benchmark Litigation for his work. Hadiaris lives in Saco, and he is active in the community, previously volunteering with the United Way of York County and serving on the Board of Trustees at the Dyer Library and Saco Museum. His family annually serves a free meal on Christmas Day.
“Saco and Biddeford Savings has a long and distinguished history, and the bank has demonstrated that it cares a lot about its customers and the community it serves,” said Hadiaris. “I am excited and honored to serve as a corporator of this institution.”
Rene Menard, also of Saco, serves as headmaster at Thornton Academy in Saco. He joined Thornton Academy as a teacher in 1995 and became headmaster in 2012. Since becoming headmaster, Menard was honored at the White House for the President’s “E” Award for his work in bringing international students to the academy. A graduate of Thornton Academy himself, Menard received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at University of Southern Maine.
