Rotary Club of Bangor announces Nov. 14th deadline for funding opportunity

In 2016 the Rotary Club of Bangor presented checks to eight area nonprofits. The proceeds from the 2017 Music Off Broadway performances will be distributed in June 2017.

BANGOR – The Rotary Club of Bangor announced a grant opportunity for nonprofits in the greater Bangor area. The deadline for requests for 2017 funding is November 14, 2016. The complete RFP is available online at

In April 2017, the Rotary Club of Bangor will sponsor Music Off Broadway, the Club’s annual major fundraiser. The net proceeds from Music Off Broadway will benefit local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in greater Bangor-Brewer.

The Rotary Club of Bangor will accept funding requests by email through November 14, 2016. Grants will be awarded in June 2017 and funds may not be used for programs taking place prior to June 30, 2017.

In 2016 the Rotary Club awarded grants to eight nonprofits. The average grant was $3,125.

Nonprofits may resubmit applications that were not funded by the Rotary Club of Bangor in previous years. Nonprofits that received a grant from the Rotary Club of Bangor in 2016 are required to wait one year before applying for another grant, and will be eligible to apply in 2017.

Grant recipients will be required to publicize Music Off Broadway and to promote ticket sales. Paper submissions and late submissions will not be accepted.
