LOCAL ORONO WRITER LAUNCHES DEBUT YOUNG ADULT NOVEL
“Dig into some extremely vivid, reality-questioning dreams, plus a brush with the bringer of death, while Jessie is guided to the end of the world as she knows it.”
ORONO, ME, June 7, 2013 — Local author Terri Parady of ORONO, will debut her YA novel “Red Crucible” in June 2013 as part of Maine Authors Publishing young adult line. A party will be held at Zanji Studio, 23a Hammond St. #231 downtown Bangor on Saturday, June 29th from 5-7pm for her launch.
Parady, a disabled veteran, has been working toward publication for four years and for the past year she has been a nanny of three children. In addition, she is currently writing her second novel.
“I’m so excited. This has been a year where dreams do come true. I’ve published my first novel and joined Central Maine Derby as a roller derby Jammer and Coach,” stated Parady.
Mostly set in the Maine woods, “Red Crucible” is a psychological adventure story of Jessie, a 17-year-old farm girl, whose parents have persuaded her that the world will end as she knows it. During months of grueling challenges, Jessie is tested in more ways then she could ever imagine. Including a brush with the bringer of death.
