PORTLAND, Maine — Putney, Inc., a rapidly growing veterinary pharmaceutical company focused on the development and sale of generic prescription medicines for pets, has promoted Shannon Lancaster to Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, and Jason Dobrinick to Manager of Inside Sales. In his new role, Lancaster will strengthen Putney’s commercial operations by enhancing the reporting and forecasting capabilities while also providing the financial insight required to support the company’s rapid growth. Dobrinick will now oversee Putney’s inside sales team and is responsible for the team achieving its annual sales objectives.
Lancaster has played an instrumental role in Putney’s long-term strategic planning process and on-going forecast development while also providing the financial insight and market analysis required to support the company’s rapid growth. He says Putney’s financial modeling, planning and analysis have evolved quickly in anticipation of new product launches from the company’s active pipeline. “Financial accuracy, as well as meaningful insight about our current commercial success, will enable us to make decisions that maximize our future performance,” says Lancaster.
Dobrinick says his team will focus on providing all veterinarians—even those whose primary distributor is blocked by branded pharmaceutical company contracts— immediate access to Putney’s high quality, affordable generics. “Veterinarians want Putney’s generics because it allows them to provide pet owners with high quality medicines at a fair price, which underscores the integrity of their practice. Confidence and trust are a veterinarian’s best tools for retaining and growing their client base,” says Dobrinick.  Putney has also hired two new inside sales representatives, Alexis Hanna and Patrick Curran, who will report directly to Dobrinick.
Jean Hoffman, president and CEO of Putney, says the promotions reflect Lancaster’s and Dobrinick’s contributions to attaining company goals as well as their desire for professional growth. “Shannon and Jason have both demonstrated that they enjoy taking on big challenges and working hard to achieve success through teamwork.  Both Shannon and Jason stand out for their communication skills, particularly sharing information to help the entire team succeed. As Putney continues to grow in 2014, we will expand and develop our team of A-players through a combination of internal promotions and external hiring,” says Hoffman.

Putney is a pharmaceutical company committed to providing high quality, cost-effective generic medicines for pets. Putney’s reliable supply of affordable drug options empowers veterinarians, allowing them to provide the right medicine at the best possible price, and supports pet owners, helping them afford to comply with veterinary recommendations.
