The Town of Pittsfield is proud of its nearly 200 businesses. We are taking a moment to recognize our many businesses on Main Street in Pittsfield. We know the community is very proud of these businesses too due to all the great comments that we have been receiving about them.

A business opportunity will also be mentioned later on in this description so that a lucky business can join our Main Street.

Main Street is full of businesses from the newly renovated and beautiful Tax Pro Office – Total Payroll Solutions down to the great Kleinschmidt offices.
Kleinschmidt has completed a lot of renovating over the years and we commend them for their investment in Pittsfield.

We encourage everyone to frequent our local businesses on Main Street. Vittles Restaurant has fabulous home cooked meals that are hard to stay away from – especially if your office is right next door. The owners are very friendly and extremely accommodating to their great chef’s creations and their hard working staff.

One of our local attorneys’ office is conveniently located on Main Street – Elton A. Burky & Richard W. McCarthy, Attorneys at Law. Then of course, one can not forget Big Bill’s with great offerings – especially all of those ice cream flavors. Work Health at SVH on Main Street offers employers opportunities for physicals for employees to physical therapy plus more.

An all time favorite is Stan’s Barbar Shop providing great haircuts. Amici Nail Spa is next to the Barbar Shop for the ladies for pedicures, manicures, gel polish and acrylics.

Then there is our Reny’s Store – A Maine Adventure. People come from miles around to shop at Reny’s. Some of us used to drive over 30 miles to get to a Reny’s and now it is just a short walk! We are very proud of the great engineering work that Kleinschmidt does all over the world. The company is involved with some very interesting and highly important projects. Ron’s Garage at the corner provides economic and fast service for our vehicles and is quite accommodating to fitting in your vehicle’s work.
Peoples’ United and TD Banknorth are two of our local financial institutions which provide great service to their customers. These facilities have very friendly staff! We are fortunate to have 5 financial institutions in our community.

The Town is absolutely blessed to be able to run its own movie theatre on Main Street where we set the prices for the movies so that they are affordable for families from our community and the region. No other town in the State of Maine operates its own movie theatre which is a wonderful opportunity for the children and adults of the community. In addition to movies, the theatre committee and manager rent out the theatre to community groups and/or splits the profit for shows, plays and other opportunities as there is a great stage for performances and a new audio system. There might be an opportunity for your local organization at our theatre! It’s our 100th year of operation this year and we have several celebrations coming up that you will hear more about in the future.

The Town of Pittsfield considers itself very fortunate to have a Dysarts establishment right on our Main Street with some fine cooking along with lots of treats and drinks.

Then there is the beautifully landscaped Cianbro facilities. The Town commends Cianbro for its Can Do Attitude and all of its recent successes with bidding on many projects. Cianbro has been adding many employees to its ranks providing great employment opportunities for the community and region plus the State of Maine.
