DOVER-FOXCROFT — Pistataquis Valley Adult Education held its 2019 graduation ceremony on June 5 with 27 local adults earning their high school and HiSET diplomas. Students and guests were welcomed by PVAEC director, Thelma Regan and a keynote address was given by local community leader, Tom Goulette. Musical Entertainment was provided by local band, Timberdoodle, and three students were inducted into the National Adult Education Honor Society by PVAEC instructor, Liza DeWitt.
Throughout the 2018-2019 school year, PVAEC also awarded 18 Certified Nursing Assistant Certificates, 5 CNA-Med Tech certificates, 1 Medical Office Certificate, 3 Certified Dental Assistant Certificates, 7 CDL-B licenses, and 4 Clinical Medical Assistant certificates.
PVAEC holds classes in Dexter, Dover Foxcroft, Guilford and Milo in the areas of high school diploma completion, HiSET diploma, college transitions and career readiness. PVAEC offers a variety of online certificate programs and an enrichment program where students of all ages participate in classes of health and wellness, arts and crafts, photography, technology, food and nutrition and more.
