ROCKLAND, Maine — Loyal Biscuit Co. and Trackside Station teamed together to host their fifth “Pints for Paws” fundraiser to benefit the Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County on Tuesday, May 14. In just three short hours on a Tuesday night, more than 150 people came through the doors, enjoyed dinner, purchased raffle tickets, participated in the silent auction and, like the name says, enjoyed 150 pints of beer to benefit the shelter, raising a record $2,426.
Among those who helped make the event a success were: Paddy Mills, Jen Chapman, Fletcher Hall, Fidelis Biscuit Co., Maine Natural Health, Traveling Hands Massage, Dena’s Barefoot Book Nook, K-9 Solutions Dog Training Inc., Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County, Owls Head Transportation Museum, Jeff’s Marine, J. Edward Knight Insurance, Eastern Tire, Maine Eastern Railroad, Horizon Beverage Company, Shipyard Brewing, Federal Distributors, Donald Williams III, Stella & Chewy’s, Harbor Hounds Day Care & Boarding, KDK Apparel Printing & Embroidery, Landings Restaurant, Brick’s Restaurant, Maritime Energy, Bart’s Buddies, Salty Dog Salon, Rock City Coffee, Nestlewood Inn, Historic Inns of Rockland, Cafe Miranda, Hampton Inn, PenBay Veterinary Associates, PRIMO, Cape Air, Samoset Resort, and Camden Hospital for Animals.
Since starting Pints for Paws in April 2011, Loyal Biscuit Co. and Trackside have raised more than $8,000 for the PMHSKC. In addition, Loyal Biscuit-sponsored Pints for Paws events held in Camden and Belfast bring the total raised and donated to area shelters to almost $11,000.
