It’s the most fun you can have in March on Mount Desert Island – the annual Speakeasy at the Seal Cove Auto Museum!

This year it’s all about the stars – dance and drink under them in our fabulously decorated museum; come dressed as a star from Hollywood of the 1920s and 1930s, a flapper or other denizen of those times; see how the museum shines when it’s dressed up for a party. It’ the Starlight Speakeasy, and it’s your ticket to a great time from 7-11 p.m. on Saturday, March 7.

Dance to live music from that era by a hepcat-packed 12-piece band, Swingin’ Overtime led by Shane Ellis. Play charity blackjack in Fox’s Garage which is transformed into a gaming room for the night, enjoy light hors d’ oeurvres, champagne cocktails, beer and wine.

Costumes and dress from that period – glad rags in the parlance of the day – are welcome and part of the fun, but entirely optional.

Tickets are $25 for museum members, $40 for nonmembers. All tickets include a souvenir wine glass. Tickets are available online at sealcoveautomuseum.org/speakeasy-2020/ or by calling the museum on Mondays and Tuesdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 207-244-4245. To become a member go to sealcoveautomuseum.org/get-involved/become-a-member/ or call the museum.
