Farmers involved in greenhouse and year-round growing in Maine are invited to a one-hour webinar at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, to preview a new free budget tool that can help questions such as:
— How much money does your greenhouse make after expenses?
— What is your labor worth in dollars?
— Which greenhouse crops produce the greatest dollar value per square foot?
Participants will preview how the tool can be used for budgeting and forecasting, and also will be asked to share suggestions for how to improve it.
The webinar will be presented by Aaron Hoshide from the University of Maine School of Economics with moderator Bill Giordano, Outreach and Education Coordinator for the Sustainable Year Round Agriculture Cluster of the Maine Sustainable Agriculture Society.
