The well-known fall Harbor Arts Festival in Camden will have a new look and feel and is now hosted by the Camden Public Library and re-named “Harbor Arts and Books.” The Fair is set for October 4 and 5, 2014. “We are proud and excited to be the new organizer of the Harbor Arts and Books Fair,” said Nikki Maounis, director of the Library. This show is a well-attended event of long standing, but is under new management by the Camden Public Library. Harbor Arts and Books has possibly the most beautiful location for an art fair on the East Coast. The fair takes place in Camden’s historic Harbor Park and Amphitheatre, and on the street that passes through the park at the head of Camden Harbor. Dozens of exhibitors display their work in standard 10×10 tents in the juried show; the show is free and all are welcome. The show is open 9:00 to 5:00 on Saturday, October 4, and 9:00 to 4:00 on Sunday, October 5.
This juried show is a dynamic focal point of creative expression — perfect for artists to show their wares, to connect with other creative folks, and to pair art enthusiasts with beautiful creations. The fair will take place during the time of year when Camden is bustling with tourists – all here to enjoy the stirring ocean views, lovely colored trees, and many cultural and artistic events.
