Mid-Coast Mud Runs Kids Day to raise funds for Sandy Hook

ELLSWORTH, Maine — Mid-Coast Mud Runs will hold a “Kids Day” beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at 496 Bucksport Road as a special fundraiser to benefit Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut. All children 17 and under enter free; age 18 and older, $5. Gates open at 7 a.m.

Mud trucks from all over Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts are expected. There will be a bounce house, jousting mat, dunk tank, power wheels mud run, power wheels tug of war, and the older kids can run on ATVs in the mud pit. Also there will be mud truck rides, touch a mud truck, and demonstrations by some impressive mud trucks, including Mad Maxx and the Barnyard Rooster.

The Sandy Hook Durango will be present for the day, and there will be opportunities for the kids to have their pictures taken with the trucks.
