Maine State Ballet offers fall dance workshops for students of all ages

FALMOUTH, Maine – It’s back to school time for Maine’s dancers of all ages as Maine State Ballet announces its fall dance classes. Fall classes start the week of Monday, September 8.

Classes range from a “Music and Movement” class for 3-year olds to Intermediate Ballet or Tap classes for adults. For school age dancers, they can choose Classical Ballet, Tap, or Jazz.

Maine State Ballet, based in Falmouth, is one of New England’s leading performing arts institutions and recently named Maine’s Best Dance Group by Downeast Magazine. Its two components are the School for the Performing Arts, offering instruction in ballet, tap, jazz and other dance styles to more than 500 children and adults; and the Maine State Ballet Company, comprised of more than 25 professional dancers. Maine State Ballet is a nonprofit organization.
