MADAWASKA– Madawaska Town Manager Gary Picard is pleased to announce that Kevin Dube, a 17-year employee and Foreman of the Public Works Department, has been promoted to the position of Projects Supervisor. Kevin began working at the Public Works Department as an Equipment Operator/Laborer for 15 years, and in the last two years he was promoted to Highway Foreman. Kevin has been actively taking Supervisory management and Construction courses specializing in concrete and hot top for a few years.

Kevin is excited about being promoted to this new position, as his first project was the work at the Kmart Plaza on the new Farmer’s Market Pavilion in downtown Madawaska.

Kevin thanks and credits much of his advancement to the public works crew he works alongside daily. He said their willingness to make Madawaska great shows in their eagerness and work ethic.

Picard explains that Kevin will continue to work with the Public Works Department as a foreman, concurrent to this new position.  In his new position he will be responsible to supervise construction projects for the town’s departments and upcoming downtown revitalization projects taking place over the next few years. The basis of this added role is to develop a more streamlined process for project development and management during our short project construction season.

According to Gary, “Kevin has proven himself as a leader in the Public Works Department, often taking on projects and seeing those projects through completion, he’s a team player, and assigning him to this position with the many projects now upon us makes perfect sense”.
