Local Democrats are kicking off the #victorystartshere campaign season by celebrating the opening of their new campaign headquarters for 2018
DAMARISCOTTA — On Saturday, June 16, the Lincoln County Democratic Committee invites the public to a Victory 2018 Campaign Office open house 5-8 p.m. at 521 Main St.
With the theme of “We’re all local”, the event will feature local food and drink, and music by midcoast local singer/songwriter Jud Caswell. There will be opportunities to meet local candidates and to sign up for volunteer activities.
The Victory 2018 Campaign Office is located in the same building as Subway and Consigning Women across from Round Top Ice Cream. There is plenty of parking and easy access from the rear of the building.
The campaign office serves several functions. It’s a place for volunteers to meet before canvassing or phone banking. It’s a location for LCDC monthly meetings and sub-committee meetings. It’s a place for candidates to meet with the press for interviews or with the public for “meet-and-greets.” And it’s a place for members of the public to stop in and get information about the candidates and questions that will appear on the Nov. ballot. During the heaviest part of campaign season, the office will be open seven days a week.
Local voters may also learn about voting in Maine and read about Democratic candidates and ballot questions on the LCDC website: http://lincolncountydemocrats.com/voter-information/.
For more information about the Open House or how to volunteer at the Campaign Office, email LCDC Campaign Chair, Barb Burt at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop by the office between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. – noon on Saturday.
The next regular meeting of the LCDC is Wednesday, June 20, 6:30 p.m., at the Campaign Office, 521 Main Street, Damariscotta. FMI: http://lincolncountydemocrats.com or www.facebook.com/lincolncountydems/.
