The “Music on the Green” series concludes the season next week on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 6:30 p.m. with “Sweet and Low” performing swing standards. They are sponsored by The First and WQDY.
The concerts are free and open to the public. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Food and drinks will be available from the St. Croix No. 1 Firehouse to benefit its restoration efforts. The Lady Blue Devils Sweet Shoppe is also available with goodies. And hosted by Emcee Extraordinaire, Shannon Daley. This year marks the eighth year of the “Music on the Green” concert series which is brought to you by the City of Calais and the Calais Downtown Revitalization Coalition (CDRC). Look for the new green feather flags and you’ll be in the right place. And plan on being with us next summer, too.
