Author and photographer John Snyder will present a special lecture about his journey across Ethiopia. In his 1972 journey, he retraced the steps of Emperor Tewodros and his army as they traveled across Ethiopia to confront the British army in an epic battle in 1864. Snyder’s photographs were published in a large-format book called “Crossing Ethiopia” – the Maine Charitable Mechanic Association is delighted to host Snyder on Nov. 7 at a special travel lecture.
This lecture is free to everyone, and will be held at the Maine Girls Academy (formerly the McCauley school).
History buffs and photography lovers alike will enjoy this special talk.
