Why You Can’t Buy a Forest in a Can Lecture

Greater Portland Landmarks’ continues its 2016-17 lecture series, The Evolving Landscape: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, with the talk Why You Can’t Buy a Forest in a Can by William Cullina on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Portland Public Library’s Rines Auditorium at 7:00 pm. Cullina, Director of Horticulture/Plant Curator at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, is a recipient of a national Award of Excellence from National Garden Clubs, Inc. His talk will look at the distinctive characteristics of our eastern forests and what we can do in our own backyards and communities to restore the diversity of our woodlands. This event is open to the public; a $10 donation is suggested and appreciation.
