HAMPDEN — The Friends of the Library will hold its semi-annual book sale 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, in the Friends Bookshop, basement of Edythe Dyer Library, 269 Main Road North.

Because of the generosity of the patrons of the library, our shelves have numerous titles looking for new homes. All ages will find books of interest and the prices can’t be beat. Several sections will be buy one get one free.

As you tackle your fall cleaning, remember the library for any books and audiovisual materials. They should be gently used and please, no encyclopedias or ‘series’ (i.e., Time-Life). Donations will not be accepted the day of the sale.

Due to location, the Bookshop is not handicapped accessible.
