Lucie Bauer and Frank Mundo of the First Universalist Church in Rockland will present a special talk on the moral impetus behind environmental action, as well as on the formative actions of the Church’s Green Sanctuary, at Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, June 18 at 12:00 noon.

Bauer and Mundo will speak about the transformative experience of taking small, morally-and-spiritually-guided steps in responding to the needs of the community and the future of the planet. The duo will also highlight the Green Sanctuary’s Window Dressers program, now the largest window insert maker in Maine, and its efforts to reduce heat loss and carbon dioxide emissions in the area. The presenters encourage attendees to come to their own moral imperatives, followed by action on the issues facing our environment.

Mundo, a retired engineer, founded the Window Dressers program with Richard Cadwgan.Bauer has taught art history to undergraduates in settings from Dartmouth College to the Maine State Prison, and is a facilitator of the Pachamama Alliance’s Awakening the Dreamer Symposium.
