EDGECOMB — In light of the uncertainty around the COVID-19 crisis, the selectboard of the town of Edgecomb has postponed the town’s annual meeting and election. Both will be rescheduled at a date to be determined when events normalize.

“The state has enacted special measures that will allow the town to operate (pay its bills, accept payments, etc.) without a new budget voted into place, provided the town operates on the current year’s budget,” explained Jack Sarmanian, select chair. “It’s our hope that we’ll be able to have a new budget voted in place by the fall. Postponing the meeting and election are a necessary step in combating the spread of the COVID-19 virus.”

The Edgecomb Town Hall has been closed to visitors; however, assistance may be had by calling the office at 207-882-7018 Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 1-5 p.m; or at any time by calling 207-633-5324 or 207-350-0963.
