Dr. Ryan Logan of Bangor awarded $1.6 million NIH grant

University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has been awarded nine grants as part of the National Institute of Health (NIH). One of the recipients of this grant was awarded to principal investigator, Dr. Ryan W. Logan, assistant professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh. Logan was awarded 1.6 million dollars, one of the nine NIH grants. This grant is to improve prevention and treatment strategies for opioid misuse and addiction and to enhance pain management. He has also been involved in work with Jackson Lab in Bar Harbor. Logan is from Bangor received his education at Veazie School, John Bapst High School and University of Maine Orono. He is the son of Tom and Susan Logan of Veazie.
