Sony, one of our explosive detection dogs, has deemed these Duck of Justice dog cookies completely safe for pooch consumption.

Sara Fahnley of And Candy Too in Boothbay whipped them up and sent them to us for the dogs. Yes, Aki had his share.

Sara also resupplied us with dark chocolate Duck of Justice medallions to pass out to visitors of the world’s third most famous Duck.

The first taker was Roxane Papagianno Poulos from Biglerville, Pennsylvania.

Note her well wrapped dark chocolate Duck medallion with decorative Duck of Justice ribbon.

Roxane is now famous in Biglerville but will NOT be signing autographs due to the length of her name.

She does have a wonderful smile, as most do when they come from Biglerville.

And Candy Too produced these chocolates for us last year at our Halloween bash for kids.

Sara sent more this spring so our next one hundred or so Duck visitors can enjoy one as well.

Sara said she reads the page because it makes her smile.

In order to receive your limited edition DOJ candy, you must visit during regular business hours and have a photo taken by Melody, the Queen of the Front Desk. She keeps the candy locked up for obvious reasons.

Again, when these are gone we won’t be restocked until next summer. Don’t be mad.

Keep your hands to yourself, leave other people’s things alone, and be kind to one another.

We will be here.

BPD Duck of Justice is published occasionally in BDN Maine Weekly on Thursdays. This installment is for June 6.
