Distribution of Toys for Military Families and Veterans December 18

FORT KENT, ME, DECEMBER 10, 2013, 2013: Martin-Klein American Legion Post 133 is pleased to announce that through the generosity of a DOLLAR TREE ( ) donation to OPERATION HOMEFRONT ( ) we are able to distribute 1400 toys to the Military, Veterans and their families.
On Wednesday, December 18 at 1800hrs (6pm) members of the military (Active Duty, Army Guard, Reserves ) and Veterans may stop by the Martin-Klein American Legion Post at 411 West Main Street in Fort Kent, Maine to pick up toys for their families. The hall will be open for distribution until 2000hrs (8pm)
Eligibility can be determined by presenting a US Military ID (Active Duty, Retired, Guard, Reserves), a VSO membership card (American Legion, VFW, AMVETS, DAV etc), Sons of the American Legion or Ladies Auxiliary membership card.
Veterans are encouraged to avail themselves of this opportunity to pick up gifts for their children and/or grandchildren.
We would like to extend our appreciation to the Maine Military & Community Network, Operation Homefront and Dollar Tree for this wonderful opportunity to put smiles on young faces! Let us not forget however that we have brave men and women deployed throughout the world. Let us remember them and their families in our prayers during the peace and tranquility we are able to enjoy with our families this Christmas Season because of their selfless service!
