BANGOR, Maine — Penobscot Community Health Care has announced that Debra Ort, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMH-NP), has joined the providers and staff of PCHC’s Penobscot Community Health Center, 1012 Union St.
Her practice focuses on all aspects of patient-centered mental health care, including assessment, treatment, medication management, and supportive therapy.
Ort received undergraduate degrees from Husson University and the University of Maine, following by a Master of Science in Nursing Degree from Husson University. She has a demonstrated committed to quality care and was the 2013 recipient of the Maine Nurse Practitioner Excellence Award, as well as the 2014 recipient of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners State Award for Excellence. Prior to joining Penobscot Community Health Care, Ms. Ort served at Hearts-Ease Mental Health in Brewer, Maine, where she provided assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, including medication management and individual therapy, for ages 13 and older.
