CARROLL PLANTATION, Maine — Maine Department of Transportation crews will replace a culvert in Carroll Plantation beginning Aug. 4.

The location is on Route 6 approximately 4.79 miles east of the intersection of Bottle Lake Road and Route 6 or .041 of a mile east of the intersection of North Road and Route 6. The work zone extends 500 feet on each side of this location.

There will be a complete road closure scheduled for Aug. 6-9, with rain dates of Aug. 11-13. Prior to and after the road closure, one lane of alternating one-way traffic will be in place to prepare for the replacement of the culvert, and then afterward to pave the road and reset the guardrail.

Motorists will travel the approximately 22-mile signed detour route traveling north on Route 169 through Danforth then onto Route 1.

It is anticipated all work will be completed by Wednesday, Aug. 20.

Thomas DiCenzo, Inc. will perform this $216,000 project.
