PORTLAND — CBS 13 Producer Kaitlyn Anderson is being honored by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation, earning a Gracie Award for News Program. Anderson produces CBS 13 “Live at Five” and her entry included storm coverage from February 2017.
“Live at Five is designed to alert, protect and empower our female viewers. Kaitlyn does an exceptional job at synthesizing information and presenting it in a clear, compelling fashion,” said CBS 13 news director Kathy Reynolds.
The Gracies recognize individual achievement and exemplary programming created by, for and about women in all facets of media and entertainment. Anderson was previously honored twice for her work as a producer.
“With everything going on in the world it is just as important now, as it has ever been, to produce high quality content by women for women. I am honored to be selected for such a prestigious award and will continue to fight every day to keep our viewers informed and educated,” said Anderson.
Anderson will be honored at a luncheon in New York City on June 27, 2018. The event benefits the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation, a charitable non-profit that creates educational programs, charitable activities and scholarship initiatives to benefit the public and women in the media. This is Anderson’s third Gracie Award in as many years.
