Bucksport Regional Health Center is expanding its walk-in care, at the Bucksport location, 110 Broadway, from its current Saturday hours to also include a Monday through Friday schedule. BRHC will offer walk-in care  7:30-9:30 a.m. Monday-Friday, beginning Monday, Feb. 4.
“There is a need in the community for this type of service,” said Carol Carew, CEO, BRHC. “Our Saturday hours, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. have been very successful. Expanding is another way we want to serve the community.”
Anyone may access the Walk-In Care. There is no requirement to be a Bucksport Regional Health Center patient.
“We didn’t want to restrict this service because if people are sick and need treatment, it is our mission to serve them, whether they are our patient or not,” Carew added. “The most important thing is that they get the help they need.”
The types of conditions suitable for treatment at walk-in care include, but are not limited to: allergies, colds, coughs, infections, fever or flu, ear aches, sore or strep throat, strains or sprains and rashes.
