Blue Hill Peninsula’s fourth annual Scarecrow Contest

BLUE HILL — Blue Hill Peninsula fourth annual Scarecrow Contest will be held in October.

Cash prizes of $50 each will be awarded for funniest and scariest, and $100 for People’s Choice. Scarecrows can be delivered to Mainescape between Friday, Oct. 5 and Friday, Oct. 12. Voting will close at the end of the Peninsula Harvest Festival, held 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13.

The festival is organized by Mainescape Garden Shop, Blue Hill Heritage Trust and Blue Hill Peninsula Chamber of Commerce.
