Blue Hill Heritage Trust holding 2nd Annual Hiking Challenge and Celebration now through Aug. 25

SEDGWICK — Join Blue Hill Heritage Trust for the Peninsula Hiking Challenge. The hiking challenge is fun for the whole family and runs now through Saturday, Aug. 25. Hike all 7 trails, find and make note of the “secret image” posted along each trail and then join them for a big party at Strong Brewing Co., 7 Rope Ferry Rd., from 5-8 p.m. Aug. 25 where BHHT will pull prizes for adults and kids at the celebration- and every kid to complete it will get a certificate and an award.

Trails:

-Penny’s Preserve, Blue Hill (Entrance by Waterfall off Peters Brook Trail)

-Hundred Acre Wood, Brooklin

-John B Mtn, Brooksville (Horseshoe Cove Spur Trail)

-Greenbie, Castine

-Cooper Farm, Sedgwick (Middle Loop)

– Weinland, Penobscot

– Carter Nature Preserve, Surry (Loop Trail)

*Bring your completed “secret image” list to the celebration on the 25th and be entered into a drawing for great prizes! Beer & Food (Eat At Joe’s) will be available for purchase.
