BLUE HILL — Blue Hill Concert Association will launch its 41st season with Axiom Brass, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at First Congregational Church, 22 Tenney Hill.
Axiom Brass is a quintet that has traveled across the United States and around the world bringing their energetic style and creative interpretations to appreciative audiences. The Concert Association is thrilled to welcome them back after a four-year hiatus. The members are Dorival Puccini and Michael Hawes-trumpets, Matthew Bornstein-horn, Corey Sansols-trombone, and Kevin Harrison -tuba.
They will be performing works from J.S. Bach’s “Art of the Fugue,” Anthony Holbourne’s “Elizabethan Dance Suite,” Axel Jorgensen’s “Quintet for Brass,” and Astor Piazzolla’s “Suite del Angel.”
The outstanding acoustics of the Blue Hill Congregational Church is a wonderful setting for this concert. Tickets are $30 available at the door or online at bluehillcocnertassociation.org.
