BELFAST — The Belfast Community Outreach Program in Education (BCOPE)  final project this year was based on the idea of learning about local businesses and exploring career opportunity  in Waldo County.  As part of this experience, students visited Bahner Farm and Belmont Boatworks, both located in Belmont, on June 18 to hear from seven guests, all of whom work or own businesses.

Many thanks to the following: Dan Miller, owner of Belmont Boatworks; Christa and Mike Bahner, owners of Bahner Farm; Dann Waldron, co-owner of WhiteCap Builders; Allison Littlefield, RN; Chris Kulbe, formerly with the Bangor Fire Department, now with Robbins Lumber; Nolan Steele, Robbins Lumber;  Carolyn Benner, Athena Healthcare; Jim Butler; Mathews Brother; and Jen Dakin, of Key Bank, who is also a BCOPE graduate.
