BAR HARBOR — Acadia Community Theater will hold auditions for its spring musical, “Freaky Friday,” at 6 p.m. Dec. 19 and 20 at Mount Desert Island (MDI) High School, 1081 Eagle Lake Rd.

Those planning to audition should download the audition materials, which will be available soon at www.acadiacommunitytheater.net, and be prepared to sing a song, read dialogue, and learn a dance from the show. Because the musical is set partially in high school, roles for younger children (Grade 3 to high school) are limited to one or two ensemble scenes, with the exception of “Fletcher,” the younger brother.

The story follows a mother and daughter as they magically switch bodies and try to navigate the pressures and excitement of each other’s lives. The musical will be directed by Mark Puglisi and will be performed in late March and early-April. For more information, visit www.acadiacommunitytheater.net.
