ARGYLE — Penobscot County, on behalf of Argyle Township, and in cooperation with OTECO has received a phase 1 planning grant from the ConnectME Authority.  One element of the planning is to gauge community interest and support for a town-wide Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) construction project.

A broadband committee has been formed and will begin reaching out to friends and neighbors in Argyle to encourage participation in a survey designed to gather information that will assist with the planning initiative.  An on-line version of the survey and additional information about the project is available at otelco.com/argyle.  Citizen participation in the survey is critical to determining the feasibility of the project.

The survey results along with other important information will be discussed at a  community information meeting 7 p.m. Monday, Sept 30,  at the Alton Elementary School.  For more information, visit otelco.com/argyle of contact Tracy Scheckel at OTELCO at tracy.scheckl@otelco.com.
