ARGYLE — Penobscot County, on behalf of Argyle Township, and in cooperation with OTECO has received a phase 1 planning grant from the ConnectME Authority.  One element of the planning is to gauge community interest and support for a town-wide Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) construction project.

A broadband committee has been formed and will begin reaching out to friends and neighbors in Argyle to encourage participation in a survey designed to gather information that will assist with the planning initiative.  An on-line version of the survey and additional information about the project is available at  Citizen participation in the survey is critical to determining the feasibility of the project.

The survey results along with other important information will be discussed at a  community information meeting 7 p.m. Monday, Sept 30,  at the Alton Elementary School.  For more information, visit of contact Tracy Scheckel at OTELCO at
