PROSPECT, Maine — Todd Little-Siebold, College of the Atlantic history professor and heritage apple expert, will present an overview of the varieties of apples once grown in Midcoast and Down East Maine, 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at the Prospect Community Center, 959 Bangor Road on the corner of routes 1A and 174.
He also will be on the lookout for a “lost” apple calling the Prospect greening, a variety which has been written about but not yet found in the flesh. Attendees are encouraged to bring fruit from their own trees for identification.
