PENOBSCOT — The Penobscot Music Buffet Coffeehouse started in January, 2010, with Skip Bean as its featured musician. Skip will again be the featured performer at the 100th coffeehouse!

With only one snow cancellation, the coffeehouse has met every third Friday for the past 101 months. In more than seven years, hundreds of “open mic” performers and 37 different featured performers/groups have shared their music and song and have donated their time and talent.  About $15,000 has been collected in the donation bowl to be shared for heats’n’eats (local fuel assistance and Tree of Life food pantry). Each month an average of thirty people come to enjoy the music.

Skip moved back to Idaho in 2014 just after the 50th show. In order to get Skip back for this special night, coffeehouse friends have generously chipped in to fly SKIP2ME. Skip’s performances always delight his listeners as he sings and plays his wonderful original pieces, using 4 different guitars in multiple tunings.

Openers for the May 18 show will be seven of  Skip’s favorites: Sarah Ehrlich, Mike & Susie Fay, Bill Gawley, Anne & Lin Parker, Tim Seeley, Sonia Turanski, and Geoff Warner.

Friday, May 18 – 7:00 – Penobscot United Methodist Church
