LOVELL – The Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library continues the Summer Speaker Series on Thursday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. featuring Dr. Peter Ellison, the John Cowles Research Professor of Human Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University and a member of the National Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Ellison, a resident of Lovell, will take a look at COVID-19 from an evolutionary perspective. Thinking about pathogens as evolving organisms and about the factors that affect their evolution can help us to better understand COVID-19 and to think about the future of human epidemiology.

This event will be held in-person at the Hobbs Library in Lovell and, simultaneously, on Zoom. To learn more or to access the Zoom link, please visit www.hobbslibrary.org or call the library at 207-925-3177.
