Investigators have identified the man who was found shot over the weekend at an apartment complex in Waterville.
Joseph Tracy, 33, was pronounced dead at Maine Medical Center of Portland on Monday morning. Investigators released his name after an autopsy at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta, said Stephen McCausland, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
The shooting occurred at Home Place Inn at 150 College Ave. at 11:05 a.m. Saturday and Tracy was taken to Maine General’s Thayer Center for Health in Waterville before a LifeFlight helicopter flew him to Portland, the Morning Sentinel reported.
Tracy lived recently in various locations in Waterville, and with his parents in West Gardiner, McCausland said in a statement released on Monday.
No arrests have been made in the shooting, which remains under investigation.
