ST. FRANCIS, Maine — Ice and slush on the roads caused 27-year-old Kate Brann of St. Francis to slide her vehicle off Route 161 and crash into the porch of a local residence on Saturday morning.

Brann suffered minor injuries and the incident damaged both her 2015 GMC SUV as well as the St. Francis residence, according to the Maine State Police.

Police say she was wearing her seat belt and that speed was not a factor in the crash.

She was taken to the Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent for her injuries.
