A teenager charged with the murder of a 47-year-old Litchfield woman has reached a plea deal.

William Smith, 17, was one of three teenagers charged in the 2018 murder of Kimberly Mironovas. NBC affiliate WCSH reports defense attorney Walter McKee said Smith will enter the plea and be sentenced on Nov. 25 in Augusta.

Judge Andrew Benson ruled in July that Smith would be tried as an adult, and wrote that Smith was “the prime mover” in the plan to kill Mironovas and cover it up.

Mironovas’ son, 16-year-old Lukas Mironovas, reached a plea agreement last month. Another charged teenager, Thomas Severance of Massachusetts, was 13 at the time of the murder and pleaded guilty in April. He will remain in juvenile detention until he is 21, according to court records.
