An overnight fire at a vacant home in Lewiston is being considered suspicious.

Firefighters are investigating what they are calling a “suspicious” fire at a Lincoln Drive house in Lewiston.

The fire began Tuesday night but rekindled about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The home was vacant, but squatters were believed to be inside.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The Maine fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause.
