Police look to identify suspect in Augusta robbery

Police are looking to identify a suspect who allegedly robbed a Quick Mart on Wednesday

Augusta police are investigating a robbery that occurred at 5:33 p.m. July 17 at a Quick Mart on Western Avenue.

According to the 911 caller, an unidentified suspect entered the store where they threatened the use of the weapon and demanded an undisclosed sum of money, police Chief Kevin Lully said.

Police have not fully identified the suspect, who allegedly fled the scene before police arrived, Lully said.

The suspect is described as a white male between 5’8” and 6’0” who was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans, dark shoes and a white facial covering, Lully said.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone who has information that could help the investigation is asked to call the Augusta Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau at 207-626-2370, ext. 3418.
