One dead after crash on I-95 in Howland

A person was killed after a one-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 95 in Howland, according to Maine State Police.

The crash occurred on the northbound side of the highway at mile 213, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Police closed one of the two northbound lanes as troopers investigated the crash. Both lanes have reopened, McCausland said.

Police have not released further details.
