A Sanford woman was arrested Monday in Massachusetts after police say she kidnapped her two children.
Brittany Bohan, 28, was charged with being a fugitive from justice, according to the Massachusetts State Police.
After receiving a tip on Monday afternoon, Massachusetts state troopers and Beverly police went to a residence in that city where Bohan was believed to be located, according to the state police. Bohan was eventually found, and she was placed under arrest without incident, state police said.
The children weren’t harmed, and they will be returned to the custody of Maine Child Protective Services, state police said.
Bohen was arraigned Tuesday at Salem District. She will eventually be placed in the custody of the Sanford Police Department, according to the state police.
The city of Beverly is north of Salem and west of Gloucester.
