D North Girls Final No.1 Southern Aroostook beats No. 2 Deer Isle-Stonington 62-49.
The Deer Isle-Stonington girls are appearing in only the program’s second regional final today. Remarkably, the Mariners advanced to the championship game without leading scorer Rylee Eaton. The sophomore recently underwent an abdominal surgery that has kept her out of action during the tournament.

The Southern Aroostook girls are the defending state champions, but prior to last year had not won a regional title since 1997
