A fugitive from Maine wanted on a child pornography possession charge faces similar charges in Pennsylvania.
James Millette was arrested on two charges of sexual abuse of children related to the distribution and possession of child pornography and violating the Uniform Criminal Extradition Act, according to the Berks County district attorney.
On Wednesday, the Berk County Detective’s Office was contacted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about child pornography files being charged online.
Detectives determined a file was uploaded of suspected child pornography on Tuesday. Police tracked the upload to an address in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Millette was arrested after a search warrant was executed his residence. Police allegedly found hundreds of digital images of suspected child pornography, seizing several computer and digital items.
Detectives learned and confirmed Millette was a fugitive from Maine.
Millette was arraigned Thursday, and he is being held on $700,000 on the two charges in Pennsylvania.
