New Surry Theatre presents ‘Last of the Red Hot Lovers’

BLUE HILL — The New Surry Theatre presents “Last of the Red Hot Lovers” at 7 p.m. Jan. 18-19 and 25-26, and 3 p.m. Jan. 20 at the Blue Hill Town Hall Theater, 18 Union St. A married, middle-aged man wants to join the sexual revolution before it is too late. Mongolian Adventure with Lois Maltais

BAR HARBOR — Lois Maltais will have a talk about her three-week trip to Mongolia at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 at the Jesup Memorial Library, 34 Mt. Contra Dance with Big Moose Band

BAR HARBOR — The Big Moose Band and caller Chrissy Fowler will have a community contra dance at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at 34 Mt. Desert St. From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. there will be a free family dance, and then starting at 7:30 p.m. it will be a regular contra dance. There is an $8 requested donation for all adults and kids ages 12 and under, and College of the Atlantic students can dance for free. The maximum requested donation for families is $25. 3rd Annual Chowder Chowdown for Rides to support transportation for those in need

NORTHEAST HARBOR — Island Connections will hold its third annual Chowder Chowdown for Rides Competition from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at The Neighborhood House, 1 Kimball Road. Cost is $10 per person or $30 per family (up to two adults plus children in the same family). All proceeds from this event support the Island Connections mission to provide transportation to seniors and people with disabilities on Mt. Desert Island and surrounding islands to enhance their independence and quality of life.
