Missing elderly Maine man found in Connecticut

A missing 93-year-old New Gloucester who reportedly suffers from dementia was found safe Tuesday morning in Connecticut.

William Mitchell, left his home Monday afternoon after talking about visiting his daughter in Norfolk, Connecticut, Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said early Tuesday morning.

Just after 8 a.m., McCausland said Mitchell was located in the parking lot of a housing project in Deep River, Connecticut, a four-hour drive from Maine and on the opposite end of the state of Connecticut.
