A former Washington County Jail cook has been issued a summons as a result of an investigation into a complaint that accused him of exposing himself to an inmate.

In early August, Dakota Robinson, 22, of Machias was denied access to the jail and the Washington County jail administration requested assistance from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the possible criminal nature of the complaint against Robinson.

After the nearly three-month investigation, Robinson has been ordered to appear in court to answer to two counts of indecent conduct and one count of trafficking of tobacco in an adult correctional facility, all misdemeanor charges.

Robinson is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 4 in Machias.
