As parts of the state pulled out their shovels to welcome snow today, home heating prices continued an upward climb.
No. 2 heating oil’s statewide average cash price topped $3.02 per gallon today, up 3 cents from last Wednesday.
The Governor’s Energy Office said propane was up 2 cents to $2.86 over last week.
Kerosene was up 3 cents to $3.61 per gallon over the week.
Fuel prices have risen steadily since the beginning of October. The state’s average oil price was $2.88 per gallon on Oct. 2, while propane was $2.77 per gallon and kerosene was $3.45 per gallon.
